On June 8–10 we will have our annual ManTime Father/Child Canoe Trip. Dads are invited to bring their sons and daughters on a two night camping and canoe trip on the Guadalupe River in the Texas hill country.
Even if your kids won’t be attending come anyways. There are plenty of guys that need a canoe partner.
THURSDAY, JUNE 8 – SATURDAY, JUNE 10
We will leave from the church at 9am on Thursday, and try to return by 3pm on Saturday. We suggest trying to carpool with other families to share the travel cost.
We will be going to Lazy L and L Campground on the Guadalupe River. This is a longer drive than last year. It takes about five hours to get there. We will hang out on Thursday and then canoe on Friday, and leave after breakfast on Saturday morning.
BETWEEN $200 – $250 PER FAMILY
The difference in cost will depend on whether or not you are tent camping or bringing a popup camper. This year we are going to a much nicer campground than last year. Each camp site has electricity. There are much nicer bathrooms and shower facilities as well.
Do not let cost be an issue. Please contact Pastor Zach if you have any questions or need assistance.
4. What's Included in the Cost
THE COST IS ALL-INCLUSIVE FOR THE TRIP
The cost will cover dinner on Thursday night through breakfast on Saturday morning, the campground rental fee, and the canoe rental fee. The only things not included are gas to get there and any food while in transit.
You will eat well. It is ManTime after all.
5. Please RSVP by March 26
We need to make sure we reserve enough camp sites since this is a busy time of year for the campgrounds. Even if you aren’t 100% sure you will be able to make it, please RSVP anyways to reserve a spot in case it works out. If not, we can adjust our numbers. It’s much harder to add campsites last minute, and we aren’t guaranteed to be able to rent additional spaces last minute.
It’s a great trip and one that offers great fellowship and memories for kids. Join us!
