We love kids

At Rockwall Pres we believe our children are an important part of our mission as a church. Jesus made it clear when he told his disciples, "Let the children come unto me, for to such is the kingdom of heaven." As disciples of Jesus we too are called to bring our children to Jesus so they can learn to follow after him. We want to raise up the next generation to love Jesus more than anything else.

Birth ~ 18 Months

Our nursery for infants to children of approximately 18 months is located directly behind the sanctuary. The nursery is a safe environment for your kids to play and offers easy access for parents if they need it.

19 Months ~ 3 Years Old

Our toddler nursery is located upstairs and is provided for children from approximately 19 months to 3 years old. Our workers play with your kids and read stories and sings about Jesus.

Arrival & Dismissal

Children may begin arriving ten minutes before the service begins. Please be sure to sign your child in and offer any necessary information regarding your child to the workers. You can also mark your belongings and any allergies on the sign-in sheet. We do not allow children to leave the nursery with anyone other than a parent.

We recognize some children have a difficult time adjusting to a new environment. Feel free to ask your coordinator for ideas to help your child adjust. You can bring their favorite toy and instruct the workers with any specific instructions you might have.

OUR SAFETY POLICY

Safety is our utmost concern. We want you to know your children are safe and have the peace of mind to freely worship and engage in the service. The following list outlines our safety policy for our infant and toddler nurseries.

1. Worker Safety

All of our Little RPC volunteers and coordinators have received background checks and completed our child protection training program .

2. Snacks

We understand food allergens can cause severe issues to our littlest ones. To be mindful to those with specific allergies, we provide a gluten, dairy, and nut free option. If your child has a particular allergy, please inform the workers when you arrive. You may also bring your own snack for your child.

3. Crying

Little RPC workers will notify parents if the child has been crying or upset for a maximum of 10 minutes. We will reach you via your cell phone or, if needed, we will find you in the service. You may leave your cell number when you sign your child in.

4. Illness

For the protection of all our children, parents are requested to not bring a child who is ill or who has had a fever (temperature above 98.6 degrees) within 24 hours. We follow the recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics that states a child should not be taken from their home if the following conditions exist or have within the last 24 hours:

  • Common Cold (non-clear drainage)
  • Fever (temperature above 98.6 degrees)
  • Vomiting or Diarrhea
  • Sore throat
  • Symptoms of mumps, scarlet fever, German measles, chicken pox, or whooping cough
  • Croup
  • Rashes
  • Skin irritation (boils, ringworm, impetigo, pink eye)
  • Communicable diseases (such as hand, foot, and mouth)
  • Head lice

Let the children come unto me, for to such is the kingdom of heaven.
— Matthew 19:14
